Sept. 29th - Oct. 5th
Started the week off feeling a bit homesick, but didn’t have much time to feel sorry for myself after that because I was busy. The majority of my shifts this week were at the Halloween parties passing out candies to guests, which was a nice change in pace. For those wondering, my bat’s name is Bat GPT. On the 29th I went to EPCOT with my roommates and ate a bunch of good food. We rode Figment (my favorite), Soarin’, The Land, and Guardians (my actual favorite). On the 1st I went to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom with Allie. I got to watch the Starlight parade for the first time. This was the first time our schedules actually overlapped since my arrival, so it was fun to get to experience the park with her. Pre-teen Allie and Ella would’ve probably gone insane knowing they would be living at Disney together. I obviously listened to The Life of a Showgirl early Friday morning. Father Figure has been on repeat ever since, in fact I’m even listening to it right now as I’m typing this. I layed around a bit on Saturday as I was exhausted from staying up for the album release, my two park days, and my late night treat shifts. Jasmine and I went to go see the album release movie, which was… interesting. It definitely wasn’t on the same caliber as The Eras Tour movie, but it was still fun. Check back next week!
I tried a lot of food this week, mostly from the Food and Wine Festival. The cheese brioche I tried in France was awesome, but expensive for what it was. I tried filet mignon in Canada. That was also very good, but surprisingly the mashed potatoes were the best part. The Tikka Masala in the India cart was okay, but very well priced for the portion size. By far the Ottawa Apple in Canada was the best thing I consumed all week, it’s my new favorite drink. I also tried the Sangria in Morocco. It was decently priced, but way too sweet for me. All in all a very good food week!
